Community Garden:

The mission of the Community Garden is to provide interested Stayton residents access to public property for the sole purpose of gardening.  As such, patrons agree to grow vegetables, fruit, or flowers only.  Illegal plants or permanent species are not allowed (i.e. trees, grapes, evergreens, etc.).

2017 is a transition year for the garden.  The garden’s current location at 4th Avenue & Florence Street is scheduled to be turned into a Dog Park beginning the summer of 2017.  The City is looking at relocating the Community Garden to The Brown House at 425 N. First Avenue next year.  The garden would be located on the Alder Street right-of-way.  Garden plots will not be for sale in 2017.  We anticipate selling garden plots the spring of 2018 at the new location.
